CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
HATHA YOGA
Hatha Yoga incorporates Asana (postures), Breath (Pranayama) and Meditation to provide a slow and safe practice to attain a healthy and balanced mind and body. The postures are practiced mindfully with breathing.
Hatha allows for time in postures to strengthen and gain the full benefits. Yoga has been known to improve functions of all the systems of the body. Hatha yoga calms the mind and sends us on a path of self-discovery. In the ancient times the yogis developed the asanas to help settle the mind in order to prepare for meditation. Read more...
Join me for an All Levels Hatha class. We begin each class with a brief Mindful Meditation and end with a Deep Relaxation........ with lots of Asana and Pranayama in between of course!
YIN/YANG YOGA
A 60 minute gentle class with slow movements. Enjoy a meditative class with some long holds ending with a deep relaxation. A calm and balanced practice to start the week.
RESTORATIVE YOGA
Restorative yoga is a quiet, supportive and deeply nourishing practice. Restorative poses are done by being passively supported over props such as bolsters and blankets. Similar to Savasana or deep relaxation, restorative yoga is a meditative, receptive practice in which you are continually letting go of holding yourself up and allowing the earth to support you. Over time as you relax, you are able to release deeply held tension.
Rather that activating and stimulating the bodies muscular and energetic systems, restorative yoga invites us to release the inner holding of muscular, emotional and energetic bodies.
This is an opportunity to do less, not more in your practice, while offering yourself the healing benefits of a quiet mind and deeply relaxed body. Come join us
cHAIR YOGA
Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. The poses are adaptations of Hatha Yoga poses. Often the chair yoga student is unable to participate in a traditional yoga class due to mobility limitations such as arthritis, hip or knee surgery, difficulty getting up and down from the floor, or other physical conditions.
Complicated maneuvers and complex movements are not present in a chair yoga class. Within this type of yoga class, one can gain the benefits of a regular yoga class. Clients can learn many kinds of yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and ways of relaxation, with the aid of a chair. Read more...

Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) is an age proven process to guide you to release deeply locked up stresses and tensions, both physical and emotional. In this 60 minutes class you will experience deep healing through your experience of shedding emotions and experiences that no longer serve you. You will leave feeling centered, relaxed and connected.
